Univision Taps Veteran Sports Marketing Exec Lazarus as EVP, Network Sales
January 07, 2008 - The former IMG and NBCU executive will report to David Lawenda, president of advertising sales, and will oversee all ad sales operations for the Univision, TeleFutura and Galavisi�n networks.



Ad Spend in 2008 to Increase 4.2%
January 07, 2008 - The Summer Olympics and record-setting political advertising will largely drive spending, with spot TV reaping the lion's share of campaign ad dollars and boosting business 9.9 percent, followed by Spanish language media, up 7.8 percent.



Cheetos on the Prowl for Hispanics
January 07, 2008 - Frito-Lay is pumping up the cheese puffs' flat sales with a 50 percent boost in ad spend and a focus on older consumers and Hispanics. Chili Lim�n, a limited-time-only flavor, will target Latinos via Spanish radio and outdoor created by Dieste Harmel & Partners.


TV Spots to Promote Juanes U.S. Tour, Video Contest
January 05, 2008 - Sprint ads created by the Vidal Partnership will air on Spanish TV inviting fans to submit videos online showing what they would say if they had a "ratico" (moment) with the Colombian rocker. Fan videos will be posted on music portal Batanga.com starting Feb. 18.

January 04, 2008 - The Los Angeles-based program 'La Regadera con La Chokolata' will be hosted by Ysaac Alvarez and Oswaldo Diaz beginning Jan 7.

January 03, 2008 - The retailer said its Hispanic marketing business is in play, following a decision not to renew its contract with Dieste Harmel & Partners. The client spent more than $30 million during the first 10 months of 2007 in U.S. Hispanic TV alone.
